Haul | My First MAC Pieces

I've never considered myself much of a MAC girl. I mean sure I browsed counters with friends and marvelled at the huge selection of lip colours but the prices always left me scuttling away back to the comfort of my drugstore beauty products (Boots 3 for 2 deals anyone?). But after my friend Sophie bought me a MAC makeover for my 21st birthday, and I spent an hour having a gorgeous statement eye look being created, all that has changed.

The makeover I had purchased for me was £30 for an hour session, and the cost is fully redeemable against any MAC products. The look they created for me was amazing, because I was wearing a white dress I went for a dark blue and grey smokey eye with nude lips. This is something I'd never create for myself at home, mainly because I suck at doing my eye make up but also because I'd been looking for a decent nude lipstick forever!

It was pretty difficult to narrow down which products I wanted to buy, I decided not to go for foundations because they'd done my make up with a slightly darker one to match my fake tan. So here's the three I did go for:

1) Eyebrow Pencil in 'Lingering' £13
A bit of a strange choice you might think, when I had this wonderful array of make up at my disposal ll specially selected for me, but an eyebrow pencil is a staple in my make up bag and I wanted a decent one that would give me full brows without going over the top. The best thing about this is the twist up design which means you don't need to worry about having a sharpener on you.

2) Lipstick in Creme Cup £15

I honestly never thought I would be able to find a nude lipstick. I always insisted everytime I went shopping that they just didn't suit me, that I NEEDED a pop of colour. Everyone highstreet one I tried just left me looking washed out and tired. But as soon as they applied this I knew this was the one for me. It's the perfect natural pink without being too washed out or pale, and the formula feels intensely nourishing.

3) Pro Longwear Concealer £15.50
This has to be one of the best liquid concealers I've ever had! Admittedly I'm not a huge fan of the pump bottle, it always gives a little bit too liquid with one pump than I need to cover a couple of spots. However this is great for touching up my t-zone when I'm just wearing a translucent BB cream as it helps give that flawless look I love.

What do you think of my the products I picked? Do you have any MAC recommendations for me?
